Governor Scott Walker Announces $900,000 in State Grants for Energy Innovation Center in Milwaukee
Milwaukee - Governor Scott Walker today announced that the State of Wisconsin is providing more than $900,000 in grants to support the new Energy Innovation Center in Milwaukee, a facility expected to solidify the region's role as leader in the energy, power, and control industry.
The center, operated by the Mid-West Energy Research Consortium (M-WERC), will affirm and leverage the Midwest's standing as a global hub for the industry by providing collaborative space designed to attract, grow, and develop companies. The center will bring together industry and academic scientists, engineers, and business leaders to conduct joint research, jump-start innovative technologies and nurture startup companies.
